Part of the first in / last out engineering team building, operating and maintaining the ITV Sport production facility in the IBC in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From our base we operated the MCR and provided simultaneous coverage for two ITV networks and facilitated news coverage from various stadia for ITV News.

Working within the EBU's busy MCR at the IBC in East London servicing the requirements of the EBU's many broadcasters both overseas and within the IBC itself. Controlling and switching feeds to and from remote locations and remote studios to local facilities and overseas and providing engineering support to maintain those systems.

One of a two man team building the host broadcast operation servicing the requirements of broadcasters at the European Athletics. Starting from an empty room and ending up with an MCR feeding live sports, standup locations, tape replays and client transmissions out to satellite and to member broadcasters.

2011 Rugby World Cup, Auckland, New Zealand.
Transmitting live coverage of New Zealand's Rugby World Cup back to the UK for ITV Sport and ITV News' viewers in the UK. Managing the complex communication requirements between remote SNG trucks, London Studios and presentation facilities at the stadia and other locations in NZ.

Working in the 'Olympic News Channel', (ONC), transmitting 24/7 news coverage for the Host Broadcaster to OBS's rights holding broadcasters. Utilising an EVS IP Director playout system.

Coordinating feeds into and through the London studio complex for ITV's coverage of the Euro's.
Sept /Oct 07 (The London Studios-TLS); 2007 Rugby World Cup.
Employed in ITV's lines department at TLS to co-ordinate communications and satellite / fibre feeds from around France and the UK for coverage of this premier rugby competition. The number of venues and ITV's use of roving 'newsgathering' teams presented a plethora of communication requirements and interconnects that were engineered to produce the best possible service for the production teams involved.

Based in the International Broadcast Centre, (IBC) for ITV Sport's extensive coverage of the World Cup. Part of a team of 6 who constructed, operated and (eventually) dismantled the whole ITV technical operation within the Munich broadcast centre.
